Have you ever stood at the end of a very long and difficult night staring at the horizon, just waiting for a glimpse of light to shine across the darkness in front of you. Anticipation begins to build as you catch a glimpse of the black hues that begin to fade into shades of blue. You know that in a moment all of the struggles and difficulties that were laid out before this moment are about to look different in the light of a new day, so you wait with excitement.
Then across the horizon the blues start turning into majestic shades of red and breath taking colors of orange and yellow begin to illuminate the world around you.... you made it!
A new day has begun and with it will come the potential for new beginnings.
A new day has begun and with it will come the potential for new beginnings.
I guess you could say that is where the Bramlee Family is in our journey. We have lived through some difficult struggles on the way to where we are right now. But we wouldn't change a thing, it is those difficult times that have made us who we are today. We are not the same people that packed up everything they owned four years ago, gathered up the little ones, held hands and jumped off into the dark unknown.
Our struggles have given us new perspectives of life, as well as a new compassion for others living through difficult times. We would not choose a life without struggles because we would not be the same people. It is because we have lived through hardships that we can have a fuller appreciation for our blessings. The world around us never looks more beautiful than it does when we are looking at through humbled eyes.
Just think how much more we appreciate that beautiful horizon when it appears after a long and difficult night.
The darkness brought on by the struggles of the last four years were well worth it, our horizon is finally here and I can't wait to see God's glory shine around us.
